Punk Rock and what happened:

this is a subject i will get into later. right now i am here to discuss something that i have been obsessing over for the last few minutes:

1.) Mystery Dance by Elvis Costello: what a wonderful thing. pure punk rock energy meets perfect pop!

2.) Ramones cover of "Substitute" by the Who. who knew that they could a- sing b- play their instruments or c- cover a non-beach boys song?

3.) the Adventures of Mark Twain. this is a very very strange claymation film by the same man who did the California Raisins stuff. i was enchanted so me and the Adam Glass bought a copy for ten bucks off of amazon.

Things I have to talk about:

they are not interesting. this is not a journal? maybe it is... maybe it's a hip cool music blog. maybe it's about how much Vampire Weekend is ruling my life right now, or how the Promise Ring tells me to do things.

either way, public or personal, there is one thing for sure: this is all about music. either way it goes, it's heart will beat with lyrics and notes that act like cells and DNA data.

i also am a stupid stupid man and i chase a phantom over and over and over again. i guess i will chase it until it is caught, whether i like it or not.

well, at least i am self aware.
